The 2026 Matchplay Championship is now underway, with 32 UKBGS members gathering at Stansted Golf World on April 26th for the opening knockout rounds. The day featured exciting and closely contested matches, with several ties requiring dramatic playoff finishes, all enjoyed in a fantastic atmosphere throughout. Members rounded off a memorable day of competitive golf with a delicious meal together while looking ahead to the later stages of the competition.

Winners from each round will coordinate and arrange their fixtures between themselves for the subsequent stages:

> Round of 16 – By May 31st
> Quarter Finals – By June 30th
> Semi Finals – By July 31st
> Final – By August 31st

The Final will be held in August at a prestigious championship-level venue selected by the UKBGS Committee, with the finalist green fees fully covered by UKBGS.
